Commnia Aftercare keeps your project records secure, accessible, and compliant - whether you need instant read-only access for an audit, long-term archival for regulatory retention, or a full export to your own infrastructure. Retained Most Popular
Retained is the default state for all completed projects. Your data is fully preserved in Commnia's hot storage - nothing is deleted. Access is suspended, keeping costs low while your data stays immediately retrievable. Billed annually per project based on storage size.
Projects in Retained status can be restored to Read-Only access at any time on payment of a flat $99 fee per project. A 30-day window activates during which all stakeholders - including owners, head office teams, site staff, consultants, and subcontractors - can view and download all project documents, drawings, registers, correspondence, and reports. At the end of the 30-day window the project automatically reverts to Retained. Additional windows can be opened at any time.

Deep Archive Best Value
Your project data is archived in immutable, WORM-compliant cloud storage for cost-effective long-term retention. While in Deep Archive, project data is not accessible through the Commnia Platform. Retrieval is a managed service performed by the Commnia team - including infrastructure restoration, database recovery, and quality assurance.
Data is subject to a minimum storage period of 180 days. Data retrieved before the 180-day minimum has elapsed will incur an additional early retrieval fee. After 180 days, standard retrieval fees apply.
Retrieved projects can be restored as Read-Only or Full Active Access (full editing, collaboration, and workflows).

On-Premises Archive - One-off cost
On-Premises Archive gives you your entire project - not just files. You receive a fully functional Commnia browser interface hosted on your own infrastructure, with project modules accessible in read mode. Browse documents, drawings, ITPs, correspondence, site diary entries, defect records, and reports - exactly as they appear in Commnia - without needing an active subscription. This is the gold standard for organisations that require long-term data sovereignty and offline project access.

- DLP Retained (paid access)Applies if your subscription ends or is cancelled during the DLP period, if you need to extend beyond the complimentary 12 months, or if DLP wasn't part of your original agreement. Priced slightly above standard Retained because your project stays fully live - active compute, field tools, and support - not just stored.

Data Egress - Read-Only & DLP
Egress applies when project data is actively accessed during a Read-Only window or a DLP Retained period. There are no egress charges while a project sits in Retained or Deep Archive status with access suspended. Aftercare egress is separate from active subscription egress quotas and packages.

Full Active Access - Restore from Archive
Restore a completed project to full editing, collaboration, and workflow functionality at any time. Full Active Access reinstates all platform capabilities including document issuance, correspondence workflows, RFIs, transmittals, and approvals.

Permanent Deletion
For projects where data retention is no longer required, we offer irreversible, permanent deletion of all project data at no cost. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered under any circumstances.
This option requires written confirmation before processing. Commnia will provide a final reminder of the consequences before data is removed.
Deep Archive Retrieval
Retrieval from Deep Archive is a managed service performed by the Commnia team. Our team handles infrastructure restoration, database recovery, and quality assurance to bring your project back online.
Retrieval fees are based on project size, data complexity, and infrastructure restoration requirements. Projects retrieved within the first 180 days of storage will incur an additional early retrieval fee.

Request a Retrieval QuoteAll pricing in AUD, excluding GST, per project unless stated otherwise. Pricing may be updated from time to time in accordance with the Commnia Terms of Service - clients will receive 30 days' written notice of any material pricing changes. For enterprise projects or tailored aftercare arrangements, contact support@commnia.com. Permanent Deletion requires written confirmation and cannot be reversed. Deep Archive retrieval timeframes depend on project size and complexity - contact us for a retrieval quote before proceeding.
